Why shouldn’t there be a Men’s commission?

Today I came across a very interesting survey. I might have missed it, but the mere fact that it was conducted by one of the most prestigious and reputed media houses CNN, it certainly deserve some attention. The question asked was " Do you support the demand of National Commission for Men? " .

As strange the question may be, but what was even stranger was the result. Although majority 83% supported it but what is surprising and is of grave concern is that there are exorbitant 17% people who are afraid of it and are desperate that Men’s commission should not be formed.

To understand the reason of so much resistance against it, it becomes important to understand the psychology of people who are against it. To understand this we need to go through some scenarios of how people would have reacted on the formation of some other commissions and why so and why people would have considered going against it.

First take example of Animal commission. If we are debating on the formation of Animal commission or ministry, following people would not want it to be formed.

A) People who do not care about animals
B) People who think it will be waste of money to spend on welfare of animals
C) People who want to harm animal and a commission will come on their way.

Take another scenario of formation of Tree and plant commission. Again following people would not want it to be formed.

A) People who do not care about plants
B) People who think its waste of money to spend on useless things like trees.
C) People who want to harm environment and trees and a formation of commission will come in their way.

Another scenario can be formation of child commission. Again following people would not want it to be formed.

A) People who do not care about children
B) People who thinks its waste of money to spend on welfare of child.
C) People who are into child labor / trafficking or other child related crimes. As formation of commission will be deterrent to their goals.

Let’s take another hypothetical scenario of solar system research commission and reasons why people will be against it. Again following people would not want it to be formed.

A) Who do not care about planet research
B) Who thinks its waste of money

In this scenario harming of solar system can be eliminated as, as of now it is not possible for human.

In all these scenarios we have basically covered human being, non-human living beings and non-living things. What we can see is that response can be divided into 3 broad categories, for all these cases and for any other commission reason will be subset of these 3 categories. The option A in every case “who don’t care about that particular thing” are generally the neutral people and they will not go against the formation of that particular commission. Now what we are left with is
category B and C, we can safely establish the fact that major reasons for people against any particular commission belong to category B and C, which in effect means either they feel it is waste of money to spend on that useless thing or they are the ones whose business thrives on the harm of that particular thing.

If we talk about any of Animal, plant, child or women commission and a similar survey is conducted, natural instinct says that the response against it should be somewhere less than 5%. But here the result of survey says that there are whooping 17% people that belong to category B and C and are against the formation of MEN’S COMMISSION, who believe it is waste of money to spend on thing like MEN or are interested in harming man.

To the question, why shouldn’t there be a Men’s commission?

How much ever we talk about women empowerment or gender neutrality we cannot deny the fact and it can’t be disputed, when it comes to representation in Army, agriculture, any laborious work, industries etc. major contribution and representation is of Men. Although certain category of people may choose to disagree but youth MEN is the backbone of every society, if you want to break a society best way is to break its backbone. If welfare of men is not taken care it can become very easy to spoil that society and country.
Considering current psychology a correlation can be established that the only reason against Men's commission can be to harm the society and only people interested can be the one who want to harm the society and our country.

At this point it become furthermore important to see why so many people are against it, who are those people and what is their agenda? Are there really so many people who thrive by harming the MEN? The mere fact itself that there are 17% people against it makes it a necessity that there is a need of men’s commission.
